Yes you are correct, If I position my monitors aligned like that it does work. but then my monitors to align the way I want them to. 
… I can still click the machine that's off the top but I would like to see a fix come for it.
No problem it's easy enough to miss, If all my monitors were the same resolution I'd never have noticed it myself.
Just for completeness and clarity, for anyone else who comes across this.

This layout would workaround the issue and allow placement of the sidebar on any monitor.
